PURPOSE:To facilitate the lay-out of the parts such as engine by allowing a steering shaft to penetrate through a penetration hole formed at the cross joint part between a cross member and a side frame. CONSTITUTION:A side frame 13 and a cross-member 14 are arranged onto the undersurface of a floor panel 9, and the cross joint part 15 between the both is arranged under an insertion hole 11 which penetrates a steering shaft 7. The cross joint part 15 is constituted of a reinforcing body 16, and a penetration hole 17 is formed. A steering gear box 5 is installed onto the undersurface of the cross-member 14 directly under the penetration hole 17 by a bolt screwed into an installation nut 18. Therefore, the arrangement position of the steering shaft and the gear box is not restricted by the cross-member 14 and the side frame 13, and the lay-out for arranging other parts such as engine is made simple. |
