PARTIALLY CROSSLINKED THERMOPLASTIC ELASTOMER FOAMED PRODUCT AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE:To obtain the title foamed product of high heat resistance, high chemical resistance, excellent rubber elasticity and fabricability by formulating a specific partially peroxide-crosslinked thermoplastic elastomer, a thermal decomposition type foaming agent and a peroxide. CONSTITUTION:(A) (i) 100 to 10 pts.wt. of a peroxide crosslinking type olefin copolymer rubber such as ethylene-propylene copolymer rubber, (ii) 0 to 90 pts.wt. of a peroxide crosslinking type olefinic plastics such as a low-density polyethylene and (iii) 10 to 90 pts.wt. of a peroxide decomposing type olefinic plastics such as propylene-decene-1 copolymer are mixed so that the total becomes 100 pts.wt. and the melt index is adjusted to 0.1 to 100g/10min. and the mixture is combined with (B) a thermal decomposition type foaming agent such as azodicarbonamide and (C) a peroxide such as dicumyl peroxide to give the subject foamed product.
