PURPOSE:To efficiently separate a specific dialkyldiphenylene oxide isomer from a specific alkyldiphenylene oxide mixture by using zeolite showing the same powder X-ray diffraction figure as that of faujasite as an adsorbent. CONSTITUTION:(A) A mixture comprising a dialkyldiphenylene oxide containing 1-3C alkyl group or (B) a mixture comprising a 2,7dialkyldiphenylene oxide and trialkyldiphenylene oxide containing 1-3C alkyl group is brought into contact with zeolite showing the same powder X-ray diffraction figure as that of faujasite and a dialkyldiphenylene oxide except 1,3- and/or 1,4-dialkyldiphenylene oxide in the case of A and a 2,7-dialkyldiphenylene oxide in the case of B are selectively adsorbed, respectively to efficiently separate the above-mentioned isomer useful for producing polymers. |
