PURPOSE:To dispense with laying and erecting pipes for the conveyance and discharge of the drainage from an air conditioner by a method wherein the drainage is collected in a drainage tank and atomized and a current of air carries the fine spray of water out of the system. CONSTITUTION:A drainage tank 4 is equipped with an atomization device 5 and a control device (circuit) 6 both for atomizing the water collected therein. Applicable to the atomization is, for example, an ultrasonic vibrator and its drive device in use for a humidifier and the like or an impeller capable of rotation at high speed and its drive device. To the drainage tank 4 is connected an air-discharge duct 7 equipped at an intermediate position with a discharge fan 8; an air inlet 9 is formed in the drainage tank 4. The drainage from an air conditioner collected in the drainage tank 4 is atomized to a gaseous state by the atomization device 5. By driving the drainage fan 8, the fine spray of water is sucked into the duct 7, carried by a current of air, and discharged out of the system from the duct 7 on the exit side of the discharge fan 8. |
