PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition having excellent anticissing property and uniform applicability and suitable as a surface-treating agent for paper, film, etc., by compounding a specific amount of a specific copolymer of ethylene glycol and propylene glycol. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition essentially free from cloud point in the form of aqueous solution can be produced by compounding (A) 100pts.(wt.) of a polyvinyl alcohol resin having a polymerization degree of 100-3,000 and a saponification degree of 70-100mol% with (B) 0.01-2pts., preferably 0.1-1pt. of a block copolymer of ethylene glycol and propylene glycol having a molecular weight of 1,000-50,000 and containing 30-80wt% ethylene glycol unit. |
