PURPOSE:To suppress an optical loss by eliminating dust which adheres to a connector by providing a wiping means for wiping a joining end face of a second connector, a supplying means for supplying a cleaning liquid to this means, and a cleaning means for cleaning a second connector. CONSTITUTION:At the time of cleaning a master connector 32 in the course of attaching and detaching operations to and from a multicore connector 21 of the connector 32, first of all, an interrupting operation by a selecting means is executed, and by discontinuing the attaching and detaching operations of the connector 32 executed by a controller 60, an operation start command of a cleaning device 90 is outputted. As a result, a lifting means operates and a holding means 42 is allowed to ascend together with an aligning means 43 and a joining of the connector 32 and the multicore connector 21 is released, a moving base 51 is moved to a position of the cleaning device 90, and the connector 32 is opposed to a brush 95. The cleaning device 90 discharges alcohol to the brush 95 from a cleaning liquid nozzle 97 in accordance with a signal from the controller 60, and the brush 95 rotates at a prescribed speed only for a prescribed time. Subsequently, an attaching and detaching device 40 operates and a joining end face of the connector 32 is allowed to enter a little into the inside of a brush 95b, wiped with the brush 95b containing alcohol and dust is eliminated. |
