PURPOSE:To absorb impact energy thanks to not only compressive force of spring but pressure of seawater forcibly passing through four through holes, by setting a fender body being usually protruded outward by spring resilence in a fender proper attached to the dock wall in a freely adjustable manner the upper and lower sides, while making up four through holes, a passage of compressed seawater, in front of the fender body. CONSTITUTION:To a fixed structure 1 such as a dock wall and such like, a fender proper 12 is installed in a freely adjustable manner the upper and lower sides in accordance with a water level by means of mooring ropes 19 and 20 and a buoyancy tank 13 together. A fender body 14 is usually protruded outward by a spring 18 and set in the within of the fender proper 12 via a rollers 17. In front of the fender body 14, a series of through holes 15 are being made up for seawater passing. Energy of a bump on a ship S is efficiently absorbed by not only resilence of the spring 18 but jetting seawater pressure from a fender inner chamber 16 in combination. |
