PURPOSE:To take out a part of a propagated light beam without cutting an optical fiber core to efficiently receive it by providing the locally bent optical fiber core, a reflecting face, and a photodetector. CONSTITUTION:A locally bent optical fiber core 10, a reflecting face (guide) 14 provided along the outside of, at least, the bent part of the optical fiber core 10, a photodetector 15 which receives the light propagated along this reflecting face are provided. The guide 14 consists of transparent materials superior in transmittance to the wavelength of the light beam for the purpose of constituting a waveguide of the radiated light beam, and an O/E transducer 15 of a terminal device as the photodetector is coupled to the end face of the guide 14. A radiated light beam 12 distributedly generated along the bent part is taken into the guide 14 and is thereby integrated and is efficiently received by the O/E transducer 15. |
