PURPOSE:To improve the guidance for the running of a vehicleby providing previously map data including level information corresponding to the reduced scale of a map and displaying an enlarged map of the circumference of a current position in a sub-display area. CONSTITUTION:Map data including level information corresponding to the reduced scale of a map is stored previously on a map data storage medium (b). Then, the enlarged map of the circumference of the present vehicle position is displayed on the sub-display area 1-1 of a display means (a) on the basis of the level information of the map data. |
