PURPOSE:To perform automatically gate cutting whose productivity is favorable, by a method wherein an energizing device stretching and energizing a gate provided on a supporting device, with which a molded lens is fitted, in an axial direction and a cut piece supporting member which is obtained by providing a heating device arranged on a cutting position of the gate on a supporting device such as a runner part are furnished. CONSTITUTION:A moving rest 10 which is constituted slidably in a longitudinal direction and in a rectangular form is arranged on the top of a base rest 9 on a flat plate. Cut piece supporting members 26, 27 are constituted heatably so that they are connected with a load wire, gates 1, 1' of a work 8 fitted are heated by a supporting device and molded lenses 1, 1' can be cut off easily from runners 5, 5'. Elastic members 46, 47 pulling (stretching) the molded lenses 1, 1' molded unitarily with the work 8 in the opposite directions from each other are arranged. |
