The high tensile steel is made by heating the steel consisting of 0.01-0.2 wt.% C, 0.1-1.0 wt.% Si, 0.1-1.0 wt.% Mn, 0.1-9.0 wt.% Ni, 3 wt.% at least 5 elements selected from Cu, Cr, Mo, V, Ti, Nb and B, and the balance Fe, hot-rolling, quenching, tempering, cold-rolling to over 10%, and stress release annealing at 400-700 deg.C. The steel has tensile strength over 80kg/mm2 class, and excellent corrosion resistance and abrasion resistance.
