PURPOSE:To obtain a nonwoven fabric of a desired mesh size by changing fiber density with jetted fluid, as a layer of short-cut fibers are conveyed on a screen net at a wet state. CONSTITUTION:As a fiber layer Pw whose individual fibers can be moved by the force of fluid and in the wetted state is conveyed on a mesh screen 2, fluid is intermittently jetted from the fluid jetting unit 12 in which a plurality of nozzles 11 are arranged at a prescribed interval. Thus, the short-cut fibers exposed to fluid jet are moved in almost parallel direction to the mesh screen to draw a fiber density pattern on the fiber layer. |
