<p>PURPOSE:To stabilize a tracking control by controlling a magnetic tape traveling speed based on a discriminating output of a regenerative high frequency signal level and setting a gain of an amplifier of a servo system in response to a tracking error. CONSTITUTION:When a reproducing mode is set on a VTR by operating a reproducing button 31, the discrimination as to whether a tracking control output is positive or not under the present field is performed by a CPU 21 based on a PG pulse from a PG 4. Next, an output size of an envelope detector 12 is compared under between the present field and a precedent field. Then, an error signal is outputted in accordance with each tracking control output and supplied to a driver amplifier 9. The amplifier 9 is properly set in gain corresponding to a regenerative RF signal level, and an output of the amplifier 9 is supplied to a motor 7, so as to correct a tracking error. The speed state of the magnetic tape T and the increase and decrease of an increasing and decreasing level of a regenerative signal level are discriminated respectively, and based on a discriminating result, the tape traveling speed is controlled.</p> |
