PURPOSE:To form a cyan dye having a high molar extinction coefft. and causing slight secondary absorption in the range of 400-500nm wavelengths by using a specified dye image forming compound. CONSTITUTION:An azo dye image forming compound represented by formula I , especially a compound contg. a 2-aminobenzothiazole deriv. as a diazo component and a 3-aminobenzoic acid deriv. as a coupler component is used in combination with at least one photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer. A released azo dye can form a highly stable color image of a metallic complex in an image receiving layer. In the formula I , each of R<1> and R<2> is H, alkyl or the like; m is 1, 2 or 3; A is H, alkyl or the like; G is carboxyl, carboxylate or a hydrolyzable precursor thereof; each of D<1> and D<2> is H, alkyl or the like; Y is a component combining with R<1>, A or D<1> and releasing a diffusible azo dye compound from the compound represented by the formula I by development under alkali conditions; L is a combining group; and n is 1 or 0. |
