<p>PURPOSE:To stably obtain in high efficiency the title compound having AIDS virus proliferation-suppressive effect, thus useful for medicines etc., by making a culture of the adventitious roots of Glycyrrhiza glabra in a medium containing glycyrrhizinic acid and recovering glycylrrhizin from the resultant adventitious roots. CONSTITUTION:The adventitious roots of Glycyrrhizin (pref. Glycyrrhizin uralensis) are put to culture in a medium containing glycyrrhizinic acid, and the objective compound is recovered from the resulting adventitious roots. The culture is pref. made using the shaking culture method in a dark place at pref. 25 deg.C. Furthermore, the tissue pieces for inducing the adventitious roots are suggested to be leaves and stem parts soon after unfolded.</p> |
