摘要 PURPOSE:To input a stable light signal to an optical fiber which differs in core diameter without adjusting the current of a light emission diode by tapering the inner peripheral surface of a receptacle so that the diameter increases gradually from the insertion end part for the light emitting diode, and further making the external diameter of a ferrule proportional to the core diameter of the optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:The inner peripheral surface of the receptacle 11 is tapered so that the diameter increases gradually from the insertion part for the light emitting diode 12 to the insertion side for the optical fiber 14; and the external diameter of the ferrule 13 is proportional to the core diameter of the optical fiber 14. Consequently, the photodetection angle of a light signal inputted to the optical fiber 14 can be held constant irrelevantly to the difference in core diameter. Therefore, even when optical fibers 14a and 14b which differ in core diameter are used selectively, the light signal which has the same intensity can be inputted. Thus, without necessilating to adjust the current of the emitting diode 12, the stable light signal can be inputted by using an optical fiber with the different core diameter thereof.
