PURPOSE: To generate relatively large light output and restrain a temperature rise by positioning a cooling body in a region of a vertical axis of a core, surrounding the cooling body by the core near at least a first terminal, and forming a second end part by a heat pipe maintained at a relatively low temper ature. CONSTITUTION: In a heat pipe 7, a fluid medium is positioned in a region of a vertical axis of a cylindrical core 3 of a magnetic material and surrounded by a core 3 near a terminal 8 at least. An end 9 is coupled with a metal flange 10 fixed to a wall of a metal housing 11 by means of a press, and sufficient heat radiation is guaranteed. This heat pipe 7 is composed of a part having a relatively large outer diameter and a small outer diameter, and at an evaporator part where the heat pipe 7 is surrounded with the core the outer diameter is smaller than an outside condensation part, fluid evaporates, and the core is cooled. A capillary tube structure composed of a fine net contacted with an interior wall of the heat pipe gives a work required for heat pipe operation. Thereby, the end 9 is maintained at a relatively low temperature, relatively high light output is generated, and a temperature rise is restrained. |
