Frost, snow and/or solar protection for vehicle panes, esp. windscreens, is provided by a water-repellent cover fixed by holders to a vehicle. (a) the cover is a flexible mat (1), pref. of glass fibre material or nylon, having the peripheral shape of one or more panes (2) to be covered; and (b) the releasable holders (5, 6, 7) are provided at the upper and lower borders (3, 4) of the mat (1) and are applied to the pane (2) or the surrounding bodywork sufaces (8, 9). Pref. the holders incorporate a plastics-bonded permanent magnet or rubber magnet for magnetic adhesion to the bodywork. ADVANTAGE - The cover is easy to apply and remove and allows compact storage in the vehicle.
