A column is constructed from a thin metal plate which is bent to provide a rim edge with spaced sections of sharp pointed fixture teeth which enter into e.g. gypsum panels for a partition wall construction. H-shaped cross-section column or beam for a partition wall erection is mfd from a zinc coated thin steel plate, which is bent into required shape. Sharp pointed teeth (5) are punched into flange edges (6,7). Partition wall gypsum panel edges are forced into teeth (5) to provide a secure panel fixture.
