<p>Device for reducing the size of plastic containers for recycling, in particular bottles, that are collected after use for recycling. The device consists of an enclosure 10 provided with a central cavity 15 into which the container 23 is inserted. Electrical devices for heating 22 and circulating hot air 16, 17 are housed in the device progressively to heat the body of the container so as to permit it to be compressed and shrunk, reducing its size drastically compared with the original size.
