In this lock, the end of the fore-end opposite that from which the bolt of the lock projects is cut so as to have two lateral shoulders 18 bordering a central tenon 17 and forming with this tenon means for concealing the ends 3a-4a of the receptacles forming the stepped groove in the edge of a leaf, whilst at least the end of the tenon 17 is provided with a rear bevel 19 capable of fitting into the rounded portion 3a of the corresponding receptacle. <IMAGE>
