The invention pursues the aim of offering, avoiding expensive and complex peripheral devices, effectively operating equipment even, and in particular, for the small-scale user for the purpose mentioned. Achieving this object implies that the solubility of the gases is influenced on the principle of surface enlargement of each individual gas bubble. This is achieved by mechanical action on the gas to be dissolved within liquid. In a preferably column-shaped vessel discs are arranged on a centrally mounted axis or a plurality of discs are arranged one above the other rotatable on this axis and likewise centrally attached. The discs are parabolically dished and provided with holes. The disc edges have a sawtooth-like profiling. The rotating arrangement is impinged from below by the gas to be dissolved. In this case complete mixing of the liquid with the gas takes place by the ascending gas bubbles being "shredded" because of the described design of the discs. In addition, as a result of the construction, deposition of bubbles on the vessel wall despite the action of gravitational forces is prevented.
