PURPOSE:To achieve a powerful hold of packing film between an upper sealing bar and a lower sealing bar by applying the drive motion of a driving gear and a driven gear to bring the two up and down sealing bars close together. CONSTITUTION:When a crank pin 15 of a driving gear 13 is at the top dead center, a bearing hole 29 of a driven gear 27 reaches the bottom dead center in a symmetrical mechanism so that an upper sealing bar 20 is placed farthest from a lower sealing bar 36 supported by the bearing hole. As each of the upper and lower gears 13, 27 meshing with each other in a pair turns to assume different angles, a crank rod 16 supported at two positions, that is, by a crank pin 15 and a pin 32, shifts its position while held vertically, so that the upper and lower sealing bars 20, 36 are made to approach each other and finally to press each other. A simple gearing mechanism consisting of the two gears arranged one above the other is thus made to grip film with a powerful force between sealing bars while holding the upper and lower sealing bars in such a manner as to make them shift in position always with one facing the other. |
