In a platform balance with two bridges (1, 2) which are movable essentially vertically and which are motionally coupled to one another in such a way that the downward movement of one bridge (1) results in an upward movement of the other, it is proposed to assign a hydraulic cylinder (3, 4) to each bridge (1, 2) and to connect the cylinder (3) of one bridge (1) to the corresponding chamber of the cylinder (4) of the other bridge (2) via a line (5), in which a current regulator (6) is preferably located. <IMAGE>
