The corrugator consists of a pair of fluted rollers and a glue applicator roller plus a pressure device to press the web onto the fluted rollers and composed of a blower to set up outside overpressure on the web on the roller. A smooth cover web is pressed home and glued to the corrugated web. A suction device (24) should draw air away from the transporting fluted roller (2) from below the web (3) and return it via return line (26) to the blower (20). USE/ADVANTAGE - Paper and board industry, corrugating. Closed air circuit applies overpressure outside and suction inside web to ensure reliable start-ups, e.g. after stock roller replenishment etc.
