PURPOSE: To perform easy and reliable suppression of a slip of a wheel by a method wherein operation of a booster is controllable by only two solenoid valve devices responding to a signal from an electronic controller. CONSTITUTION: A vacuum support booster 2 to drive a tandem master cylinder 1 to have a hollow housing 20 the interior of which is partitioned into a constant pressure chamber 31 and a servo chamber (an energizing pressure chamber) 32 by a piston 24 formed integrally with a reversing diaphragm 26. The constant pressure chamber 31 is connected to a vacuum source, such as an intake manifold, through a joint 49 and the servo chamber 32 is connected to the chamber 31 and the atmosphere through a solenoid valve device 33. In this case, the solenoid valve device 33 comprises a first electromagnetic inlet valve A, and a second electromagnetic partition valve B. When, for example, a slip of a wheel 5 to be driven is detected by a sensor 11, control is effected by a control module 15 such that the valve B is closed and the valve A is opened. |
