<p>PURPOSE:To perform a mouse operation with a lefthand by a left-handed person naturally as well as a right-handed person by providing a switching means to change the function of an input button symmetrically in right and left directions at a control part. CONSTITUTION:When a left-handed operator desires to operate information processing equipment, the OKed display of input setting from a position input device 3 is displayed on a display 1 by inputting a command to perform the input setting from the position input device 3. When the command to set the input button 4 of the position input device 3 for left-handedness is inputted, a lef-handed mode is set by the switching means of the control part 5, and the function of the input button 4 of the position input device 3 is switched from the function for right-handedness to the one for left-handedness. The operator can perform the button operation of the position input device 3 with the lefthand with the same sensitivity as well as that of the right-handed person. Thus, by changing the function of the input button 4 of the position input device 3 symmetrically in the right and left directions, an operation with the lefthand can be performed as well as that with the righthand naturally.</p> |
