A novel antitumor substance BE-13793C or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, which is represented by the following formula: an anticancer agent comprising the novel substance or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, a method of producing the novel substance and a microorganism capable of producing the novel substance are disclosed.
