PURPOSE: To manufacture an armature at low cost in a simple form and to shorten response time by making a circumference of the armature in a waveform outline in a specific range and alternately forming waveform troughs to make contact with a valve and waveform crests projected from these troughs in the radial direction. CONSTITUTION: A circumference of an armature 12 has a waveform outline in a range 70 to surround at least a valve 36. Waveform troughs 60 coming into contact with the valve 36 and waveform crests 61 projected from these troughs 60 in the radial direction are alternately formed. The waveform crests 61 have roughly circular outer surfaces. The armature 12 is manufactured by deformation of a ring pipe. In this way, it is possible to manufacture the armature at a low cost in a simple form and to shorten response time.
