The air intake channel arrangement (1) has the rotation of the inlet flow above an inlet opening (12) for the combustion chamber (18), controlled by an inlet valve (5), varied by provision of a tangential primary air intake channel (2) and a secondary air intake channel (3) controlled by a control device (9), acting as a neutral or tangential channel. The primary air intake channel has an angled edge provided in its wall above the inlet opening.
