摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the dependency of EMF (electromotive force of a battery) on environmental temp. and to improve the accuracy of the sensor by holding a double oxide which can form a reversible dissociation equil. with the oxygen in an atmosphere on the reference electrode side of the sensor element. CONSTITUTION:The double oxide having a compsn. Ln1-xAxMO3 (Ln=lanthanide element, A=Ca, Ba, Sr, M=Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, 0<=x<=0.8) is used as the electrode material on the reference electrode side. The double oxide of this kind is relatively stable even at a high temp. and is the material having the semiconductor- like properties with which the oxygen in the atmosphere and the point defects in the double oxide reversibly attain the dissociation equil. and which can maintain the crystal structure until the considerable defect concn. is attained. Au particles, glass and the double oxide are mixed and the mixture is baked onto a solid electrolyte to form the reference electrode in order to use this material as the reference electrode material. The CO2 sensor the EMF of which does not depends on the variance in environmental temp. is formed by selecting the mixing ratio of the Au which is smallest in the DELTAEMF in the case of changing the temp. from 20 to 90 deg.C and the double oxide.
