<p>In the case of a spray head for a spray container for the delivery of foam in which the spray container has a manually operable delivery valve in an outlet passage (6) of the spray head while the spray head has downstream of the delivery valve a closure element (3) which automatically closes the outlet passage (6), the opening and closing of the closure element (3) is in each case retarded in relation to the opening and closing of the delivery valve, the closure element (3) when in its closed position allowing the passage of gases but not of liquids. In this way, the closure element not only has a shutting off function in respect of a residual product contained in the outlet passage but it acts at the same time as a foam outlet brake which solidifies the foam.
