PURPOSE:To produce a composite material having both heat resistance and toughness by adding metallic silicon and resin to mixed body of ceramic particles and metal particles, adjusting blending ratio of both particles and interfacially combining the ceramic and metal particles and each layer with reaction sintering in nitrogen gas. CONSTITUTION:The particles 1, 2, which are different kinds of two or more, are mixed, compacted and sintered to manufacture the composite material. Then, the metallic silicon and the resin are added to the ceramic particles (material A particles) 1 or metal particles (material B particles) 2 or the mixed body of both. Then, the blending ratio of the ceramic particles 1 and the metal particles 2 is adjusted. After laminating, compacting and degreasing so that the composition of the ceramics and metal varies continuously or step by step, the reaction sintering is executed in the nitrogen gas. In such a way, the interfacial combinations are executed to the ceramic and metal particles, and each layer. By this method, composition of the composite material is facilitated and the profitability can be improved. |
