PURPOSE:To improve the ordering efficiency and to decrease the ordering errors by adding an automatic ordering means to each table. CONSTITUTION:A pen scanner 4 is provided on each table of a restaurant, a bar, etc., together with a menu 3 added with the bar codes to each ordering item. Thus the scanner 4 can read the bar codes of the menu 3. A customer applies the scanner 4 to the menu 3 to designate his/her desired items on a table. Thus the data on the ordered items are automatically sent to a ticket issuing device 2 and a POS terminal equipment 1 in a kitchen from the customer's table. As a result, the ordering efficiency is improved and the ordering errors are decreased. |
