PURPOSE:To facilitate a paper processing work at the time of an error occurrence by arranging a constitution in which the destination of the discharge of a paper sheet is changed to the outside of a main body it a printing error occurs before the tip of the paper sheet reaches a transport passage changeover means, at the time of one side printing before a reversal. CONSTITUTION:If it is decided that a printing error has occurred on the basis of a detection outcome by means of a printing error detection means at a CPU, the action of printing is suspended, and whether or not the tip of a paper sheet 1 1 has reached the changeover range of a transport passage of changeover lever 16 is examined by means of a paper sheet tip position detecting means, and if it is decided that it has reached there, discharging into a reversal device is made by driving in rotation reversal rollers 21, skew delivery rollers 23 or the like. And, discharging to the outside of a printer is made without conducting the action of printing through paper feed from its reversal completion paper sheet tray 24, and an error processing is conducted by issuing an error indication/warning. If it is decided that the tip position of the paper sheet 11 has not reached the inside of the changeover range of the changeover lever 16, the paper sheet 11 is discharged to the outside of the printer without passing through the reversal device, and an error processing is likewise conducted. |
