PURPOSE:To provide a document processor whereby the printing result of a document is obtained without staining a platen even in the case where the draft plan of the document is being generated so as to efficiently generate the document. CONSTITUTION:The processor is constituted in such a way that it is judged whether or not the data length of dot data after character ornamentation in a extension buffer 23D exceeds the left mergin position or the right mergin position which is stored in a mergin memory 23B or whether or not the data length of the dot data exceeds a printing-possible range corresponding to the paper size of printing paper being used at present based on paper size data stored in a paper size memory 23E and the paper size table 22A of ROM 21 so that, when the data length of dot data exceeds the left/right mergin position or the printing possible range of printing paper, over-flowed dot data is cut and dot data within the left/right mergin range or the printing possible range is set in a printing buffer 23F so as to be printed. |
