The subject of the invention is a raking-off (removal-from-a-grid) device (or device for removing from a chain or an unloading device) for the continuous automatic extraction, at high speed, of flat articles (sheet metal, sheets, cards (cardboard panels), plates, etc.) from the combs of the conveyor of a tunnel for drying or heat-treatment or buffer-storage between operations. This raking-off (removal-from-a-grid) device is characterised by the circulation of gripper- or electromagnet-type extractors, a gripping end of which performs a rapid return movement upon encountering the flat article to be extracted, which it seizes automatically from above, removes from the combs and deposits on a receiving conveyor. This conveyor has the feature of having a portion which can form an inclined plane enabling the extracted sheet to be turned over, so that the stream of sheets leaves the raking-off (removal-from-a-grid) device by presenting its reverse side upwards or downwards, as required. Finally, a selection device enables some of the sheets or plates to be allowed to pass without extracting them from the conveyor, in order to unload them separately later on. Such a raking-off (removal-from-a-grid) device is principally used in industries using long series of materials in the form of thin plates: metal packaging or the like, chemical etching, printed circuits, industrial painting, etc. <IMAGE> |
