<p>A medium consumption turbine-type converter comprises a cylindrical casing, inside which are mounted, in the direction of medium flow, a first flow straightener, a compensator (3) of axial thrust of the flow, an impeller (4) and a second flow straightener. The flow axial thrust compensator (3) is shaped in the form of a truncated cone provided with channels (10) evenly spaced along the whole periphery of its lateral surface. Each channel (10) is oriented so that the projection of its longitudinal axis (11) on the plane passing through the rotation axis (12) of the impeller (4) is inclined at an angle (α) to the rotation axis (12) of the impeller (4), said angle being within 7-20° and being directed by its vertex towards the vertex of the inclination angle (η) of the blades (13) of the impeller (4). The total cross-sectional area of all the channels (10) within the zone of the larger base of the compensator (3) is equal to 2-6 % of the clear opening at the inlet of the impeller (4). The wall of the casing is provided, within the zone of location of the impeller (4), with the sensitive element of a transmitter generating a signal at the moment when each blade (13) of the impeller (4) moves past it.</p> |
