In a heating installation with a smoke pipe which is constructed as a sound absorber and connects heating boiler and chimney, provision is made according to the invention for the smoke pipe constructed as a sound absorber to be arranged above and below the heating boiler or laterally beside it. In this arrangement, in the case of a combination of heating boiler and hot-water storage tank, the smoke pipe constructed as a sound absorber should expediently be arranged between heating boiler and hot-water storage tank.
