A resinate of the formula (I) wherein Am(+) is a strongly basic copolymer of styrene and divinylbenzene which is in cationic form, said copolymer containing the sum of m+n quatenary ammonium groups and also containing, as main structural unit, the grouping of the formula (II), X(-) is an anion of an acid different from the anion of the formula (III), and m and n denote the entire ionic capscity of the copolymer, and the molecular weight of which is about 10 power 7 to about 10 power 9. Cpds. (I) are analgetics and anti-inflammatories which release the active components slowly and continuously, esp. for the treatment of chronic arthritis and similar conditions.
