PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of cleaning defect and to improve the efficiency of removing residual toner by cleaning out paper powder, etc., stuck to a blade, and automatically cleaning the blade based on the surface density of a photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:The residual toner on the photosensitive drum 21 is removed by a cleaning unit 38, moreover, unnecessary charges on the photosensitive drum 21 is removed by an eraser 41. By sliding the blade 39 provided on a cleaning unit 38, the paper powder, etc., stuck to the blade can be cleand out. The blade 39 can be automatically cleand out according to the surface density of the photosensitive body 21. Thus, the cleaning defect can be prevented from generating, and the efficiency of removing the residual toner on the photosensitive body can be improved. |
