PURPOSE:To speedily and exactly execute work processing by receiving picture data transmitted through a line by a FAX, recognizing handwritten characters written in the prescribed position in a slip on the picture data by a character recognizing mechanism, which is provided in a POS, and executing the work processing. CONSTITUTION:FAX 1 and FAX 2 executes the transmission and reception of a handwritten slip 1-1 and a POS 3 receives the picture data received by the FAX 2 and executes ordering work, etc., based on the data character- recognized by a character recognizing function 3-1. The picture data of the handwritten slip 1-1 sent through the line are character-recognized by the character recognizing mechanism 3-1, which is provided in the POS 3, and used for ordering processing. Thus, the ordering processing by the handwritten slip can be speedily and exactly executed at low cost. |
