<p>The invention relates to a process for localising a target-well with metallic casing, in which there is lowered in an emergency well drilled in the direction of the target-well an electrode and a magnetic-field detector, and there is injected into the ground an alternating current with the aid of this electrode, characterised in that, by means of the detector, the magnetic field created by the current lines running between the electrode and the casing of the target-well is detected.
