摘要 PURPOSE:To manufacture the titled permanent magnet which can be made thin at a low cost by restricting the composition of an R2Co17 type alloy to specified component ranges and heat treating the alloy under specified conditions. CONSTITUTION:An R2Co17 type alloy (R is a rare earth element) having a composition consisting of, by weight, 24.0-25.0% of >=1 kind of rare earth element, 5.0-25.0% Fe, 2.0-15.0% Cu, 0.1-1.5% Ni, 1.0-5.5% Zr and/or Hf, and the balance essentially Co is heat treated by keeping at 780-900 deg.C heating temp. in an inert gaseous atmosphere for 25-45min and continuous cooling to 400 deg.C at 0.3-1 deg.C/min cooling rate. An R2Co17 type alloy contg. 0.005-0.5% P besides said components and the balance essentially Co may be heat treated similarly.
