METHOD FOR PACKAGING RADIOACTIVE RAY DETECTOR

PURPOSE:To connect a detector with a film carrier with conductive paste or solder within a pattern window to obtain a multi-channel detector having high spatial resolution by a method wherein an insulation film provided with a pattern window which permits each electrode or a part of each electrode to be exposed is formed on a surface provided with a plurality of charge collecting electrodes on a radioactive ray detector. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of charge collecting electrodes 2 arranged in series on a surface of a P-type CdTe crystal of a radioactive ray detector while a common electrode 3 is provided on a face opposite to the electrodes 2. An insulation film 4 formed with pattern windows 5,10 for permitting a part of the electrodes 2 and a part of the common electrode 3 is formed on surfaces where this common electrode 3 and these electrodes 2 and the common electrode 3 are provided. Silver paste 8 is injected by an appropriate amount onto the electrodes 2 in the respective window 5 by using a dispenser, the tip of each finger lead 7 provided on a film carrier 6 is connected to the electrodes via the paste 8 and fixed by heat curing.
