<p>The machine for swathing a cut crop, consists of a frame with two rotors (2) rotating about vertical axles (4) supported by wheels (10). The frame has a traction bar (24) for hitching to a tractor, and a connecting bar (19) which links the two vertical axles. The connecting bar has a transverse horizontal pivot (39) and the first rotor has a toothed crown wheel (46) which meshes with a pinion (51) linked to a drive shaft (52) inside the traction bar, and a second pinion (56) linked via a transmission shaft (57) inside the connecting bar to the second rotor. The transmission shaft has at least one universal joint (63), situated on a level with the transverse pivot (39). The crown wheel has two toothed rims (47, 48) - one on top and one underneath to engage with the two pinions.</p> |
