<p>PURPOSE:To increase the sheet stacking capacity and at enhancing the aligning ability by providing a retractable auxiliary tray on the sheet loading side of a tray for storing sheets to be discharged, which are subjected to after- processing, and by selecting and controlling the trays in accordance with a condition of sheets. CONSTITUTION:An auxiliary tray 114 is provided retractably to a hinge part 121 on the sheet loading side of a tray 103 for storing sheets S to be discharged which are subjected to after-processing, and it urged upward by means of a spring 118. In the case of a non-folding mode, if the sheets have a size less than A-4 size, a solenoid 115 is energized so as to discharge the sheets onto the trays 103, 104 by means of a pair of discharge rollers 76, and a discharge roller 86. Meanwhile, in the case of a B-4 or A-3 size, a staple process, or a folded sheet, the solenoid 115 are deenergized so as to allow the auxiliary tray 114 to be lowered by the dead weight of the sheets S overcoming a spring 118 since the trailing end part of the sheets S bulges. Thus, it is possible to increase the stacking capacity of sheets and at enhancing the aligning ability of sheets.</p> |
