PURPOSE:To provide the title recording liquid excellent in recording characteristics, storage stability, fixability on materials to be recorded, light resistance and weatherability of recorded images, etc., comprising a water-soluble dye, water-soluble organic solvent, water and a specific polyphosphonic acid (salt). CONSTITUTION:The objective recording liquid can be obtained by incorporating (A) an ink jet recording liquid comprising (1) a water-soluble dye (e.g. C.I. Direct Black 17), (2) a water-soluble organic solvent (pref. diethylene glycol) and (3) water with (B) pref. 0.01 - 3.0wt.% of a polyphosphonic acid (salt) of the formula (M is H, Na, Li, K or quaternary ammonium group; n is 1 - 16). |
