<p>PURPOSE:To enhance yield and to easily produce a liquid crystal display device by forming the pattern of an insulating film used as a gate insulating film simultaneously with the pattern of a protective film. CONSTITUTION:Since the pattern of the insulating film GI used as the gate insulating film is formed simultaneously with the pattern on the protective film PSV 1, the pin hole of a resist is not transferred to the insulating film GI used as the gate insulating film. In the case that the material of a gate terminal and the materials of a video signal line DL, a source electrode and a drain electrode SD 1 and SD 2 are the same, the gate terminal is prevented from being etched at the time of forming the patterns of the video signal line DL, the source electrode and the drain electrode SD 1 and SD 2 even if a special means is not used. Thus, the yield is enhanced and the device is easily produced.</p> |
