<p>The solenoid valve with an armature (5) movalbe relative to the stator by the action of excitation coils (8a-8d) when supplied with an excitation current, has the valve stem (9) fixed to the armature of the solenoid. A holding device (21) is arrnaged around the valve stem (9) for the locking of the armature and stem, depending on the current. The holding device has a number of piezoelectric elements (23) and electrode plates (24) arranged in alternate layers. The armature and valve stem cannot move while the holding device is in the locked position. The excitation coils are excited until a predetermined current value (IN) is reached. On reaching this value, the armature and valve stem are released by the holding device.</p> |
